Psychic Art is a miraculous gift - to be able to give a drawing of a loved one in spirit to someone who is grieving. Psychic Artists do get a hard time: eyebrows not quite right; parting on the wrong side; looks like Arthur Askey (disrespectful to artist, spirit and recipient); not sure if it is my uncle, he had a few more lines on his forehead!! – believe it or not, they are actual words spoken from people in the congregation.

A drawing by Raye of Native American, White Bull of the Minneconjous - Guide of Medium Christine Argent
(Above) Pastel drawing of dog in spirit drawn for a workshop. Picture took Raye approx 5 minutes to draw. There wasn’t enough time to find her owner. But that is the way spirit work – she will meet up with her owner!! – she’ll be travelling with Raye to the next demonstration. Raye has information with the drawing, so if anyone recognizes her, please make contact. |
Raye works with her clairvoyance (seeing) clairaudience (hearing) and clairsentience (feeling) when drawing her pictures. She draws inspirationally, and can only describe it as a form of light trance. As the drawing starts taking shape, Raye will get clairaudience and the person she is drawing gives her information about themselves and the recipient - and with her clairsentience she feels the sensation of their passing. When the picture is finished, more information comes through, using all three senses. Raye normally works with another medium, which works very well. Raye’s demonstrations vary depending on which medium she works with – ie while Raye is drawing, the medium will be giving a message and invariably the drawing is for that person – then Raye gives the information she has received. Other times, the medium will be describing the person as Raye draws and giving information which will then be ‘thrown out’ to the congregation. (Not literally of course!!!).

Spiritual Art – The Beginning
“I had only been attending my first closed circle for a couple of months when my drawings started to take place. The circle leader had encouraged us all to do homework and inspirational writing was part of it. One night, when writing, my hand went out of control and scribbling took place. It resembled a face. I now believe I had been so slow to get going on my pathway that spirit thought they would hurry me up and take my hand over!!!! These automatic drawings happened a few times and each time the face became clearer. I started drawing each night and felt inspired to draw Guides. When I took my drawings to circle, the leader told me I will be a psychic artist!! I asked what that was!!!! I have never had any formal training on art and I feel humbled by the fact that my Spirit Guides have taught me to draw faces and animals over the years and they are still doing so!! Funnily enough, last year (2006) wanting to spend quality time with my sister, I started attending an art class that she organises and participates in. I find myself making the tea and dabbling with drawing flowers etc., apart from it being very therapeutic, it has made me realise that my Spirit Guides have taught me well over the years!!

Psychic News May 18, 2002. Psychic Artist Raye Edwina Brown Draws Rebel the German Shepherd WESTCLIFF SNU CHURCH – April 27th 2002 Quote: “Raye is well known for healing and communicating with animals in spirit and that evening, she drew a beautiful German Shepherd dog just before she left her house. The dog, Rebel, had given her enough information and evidence to prove who he came to see and he was so happy he was accepted. Tears were shed by many in the congregation as Raye told them that Rebel had communicated with her telling her that he was an ‘old soldier’ and that although he didn’t want to leave, it was time for him to go to spirit as his legs just gave out. His last sight on earth was of his owner and he showed himself walking up to the spirit world, looking back now and then, expressing the sentiment ‘until we meet again’. The drawing was in beautiful pastels and it was for his owner, Penny, to keep, to remind her he was now in a place that looked just like paradise.” |
