“My awareness of the Spirit World began when my much loved dad passed to spirit when I was 8 years old. As far as I can remember, my first experience was when dad sat on my bed a couple of days after his passing. From then on, I had many premonitions in dream-state and psychic experiences – I knew I was different (and so did everyone else!!) My premonitions became stronger as I got older, especially in my teens. Although not understanding where it all came from or why, I did learn to interpret my dreams and psychic senses. However, years of going through life, as one does, the psychic phenomena was put to one side!!! That is, until my beloved mum passed to spirit in 1984. Just a few hours after her passing, she showed herself to me and that was rather scary at the time – but it was the re-starting of my spiritual awareness. It does seem rather naive to me now, but I had no knowledge of spiritualism. I started asking questions, delving into different religions. I found no answers. With a life-time of experiences behind me, in the physical sense as well as in the psychic, my spiritual pathway began when I came to Essex in 1988. My premonitions started getting more frequent and I was experiencing psychic phenomena in my house. There isn’t enough space to relay the many fascinating spiritual experiences I have had, however, I will tell you one of them which really did put me on my pathway. It was the year 1989, in St John’s Hospital, Essex - it was a few days after my operation, time 12am, I was dozing and I felt as though someone sat down on my bed. I looked up to see who it was. No one was there. Then I heard a lady’s voice say ‘Good Night and God Bless’. I looked around not a ‘soul’ about. I thought it was possibly the lady in the next bed, talking in her sleep!! The following night, about the same time, the lady came again and said, ‘You are going to be alright now, Good Night and God Bless.’ I looked around and again, there was no one there. In the morning, analyzing it all, I noted that the beds either side of me were empty. There were two ladies further down the ward; one had an Irish accent and the other, I couldn’t understand her as she didn’t have any teeth!! So then I knew it was a spirit lady! Chatting to other patients, one lady had seen a ‘ghost’ that resembled a nun that night, watering the flowers. I couldn’t have been quite ready as the following night at 12am, I hid under the bed covers!!!! When I returned home, I felt rejuvenated. A couple of weeks later I was invited to a circle by a friend of a friend who knew of my spiritual experiences – and another chapter began!!!!! Many years later, I was given a message from a medium on platform, describing the incident in the hospital, with the lady speaking to me and that she was still around me. She was a nurse in the Crimean war!! |
